July 30 & 31 @ 7:30pm
In our final performances before we make our international debut, push/FOLD brings Early to the Portland waterfront as a part of the Old Moody Stages Festival!
Effortlessly bridging athletic and fast-paced dance performance and tensile partnering, 'Early' is a non-stop tacit reflection on the human condition. Intimate solos and duets draw on motifs of power, love, identity, death, and transition. It is a solemn and heartfelt experience within an intense and fluid soundscape of synthetic and natural instruments—"its mood like a modern-day Haydn" (Bob Hicks, Oregon ArtsWatch). Featuring an all-female cast of four dancers, Jordan Kriston (former dancer with Pilobolus), Heather Hindes, and Ashley Morton join founding member Briley Jozwiak in the re-staged performance.
Approx. 60 minutes without intermission.
* Performances are Family Friendly *
